Animal Shelter

The Clark County Animal Shelter is a county-operated, open intake facility. We strive to place every animal that comes into our care, but can only be successful with the help of volunteers and supporters. If you are interested in making a donation, volunteering, or learning more about the shelter, please contact us.

Services

The Clark County Animal Shelter is responsible for animal control in Clark County. Our staff responds to reports of dogs running at large, aggressive dogs, injured domestic animals, as well as, reports of animal abuse or neglect. 

Adoption Fees

Dogs & Puppies

$95 per adoption

The fee covers:      

  • Age appropriate vaccination
  • Fecal and De-worming
  • Free Vet Visit
  • Heartworm Test
  • Microchip
  • Rabies vaccination
  • Spay/Neuter

Cats & Kittens

$50 per adoption

The fee covers:     

  • Age appropriate vaccination
  • Fecal and De-worming
  • Felv / FIV Combo Test
  • Free Vet Visit
  • Microchip
  • Spay/Neuter

Requirements for Surrendering Animals

  • “Owner” must personally bring the animal(s) to the Shelter
  • A short form completed providing information about the animal for any future adoption
  • Drivers license or proof of address
  • Animal surrendered must be from Clark County

Clark County Animal Shelter does not charge to surrender an animal(s).
